“Snow”
Slowly falling
From the pure white cloud;
Drifting in the wind,
Its youth cries out loud.
Staying silent and calm
It keeps moving along.
Passes a blooming wisteria tree
And the wind picks up.
Round and round it goes;
Swirling and swirling;
Twirling and twirling;
It enters a storm.
Surrounded by a blizzard,
The color to it changes
From a pure white to a deep red.
In the center of the storm it becomes shrouded in black.
The blizzard starts to calm;
It slowly drifts by the wisteria tree;
The leaves slowly wilting;
The branches slowly dying.
With no life to it,
It calmly and slowly falls.
Settling beside the roots of the dying wisteria tree,
It gradually begins to melt.
The seasons pass; the weather changes.
Winter comes again.
From a pure white cloud,
Another slowly falls.
this is a poem that i had to write for my ELA class so i thought i'd post it.
